PURE PICKLEBALL LAUNCHES WITH A SMASH IN CHESHIRE

Writer: Pure PickleballPure Pickleball

Pure Pickleball made its grand debut at Shavington Primary School, and what a launch it was! With over 60 players joining the event, the courts were alive with excitement as players of all abilities took to the game. From first-timers to competitive players, the atmosphere was buzzing.

A true highlight of the evening was “The First Serve,” officially launching Shavington’s three perfectly painted indoor pickleball courts. The honour of taking the first shot went to Jo Young, Headteacher at Shavington Primary School, who delivered a rally-starting serve that set the tone for an incredible night. If a ceremonial first serve isn’t a tradition yet, it certainly should be!

Speaking about the club’s incredible launch, Pure Pickleball Co-Founder Chris Beaumont said:

"The turnout and enthusiasm for our launch night was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Seeing so many people, from total beginners to experienced players, coming together to enjoy this fantastic sport was truly inspiring. The energy, the fun, and the sense of community on the courts perfectly captured what Pure Pickleball is all about. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to grow the game across Cheshire!"

Headteacher Jo Young also shared her excitement about the event and the new partnership with Pure Pickleball:

"It was an absolute privilege to take the first serve and be part of such an exciting launch for the school and the wider community. Pickleball is a sport that brings people together, and it was fantastic to see so many players of all ages and abilities enjoying the game. We are proud to support this initiative and look forward to seeing the courts buzzing with activity for years to come!"

With regular sessions now open for social play, coaching, and competition, the momentum from launch night is only the beginning. The overwhelming enthusiasm from players new and old has shown that pickleball in Cheshire is here to stay.

If you missed out on the launch, don’t worry—Pure Pickleball is open seven days a week! Come along, grab a paddle, and be part of Cheshire’s newest and most exciting sporting community.
